Chanel in Gold Fingers + Comparisons

Indirect sunlight
Chanel in Gold Fingers is a limited-edition release from the Bellagio and Chanel.com-exclusive Winter 2012 "Las Vegas de Chanel" collection. It had a nice, but slightly weird formula - easy to apply, but a little watery, so that it was hard to get coats as thin as I like. It is a shimmer in the vein of #529 Graphite, with a shimmery jelly base that builds up to opaque in two coats (I did 3 just to be sure), with particle shimmer suspended in it. It looks bumpy in some shots, but it's perfectly smooth, it's just the particle glitter under the shimmer base. There is also the classic Chanel hidden shimmer - red and green - which I wasn't able to truly capture with my camera and isn't visible unless you look up close. It is a yellow-toned gold, but not so much that I don't think most people could pull it off. I have no dupes in my collection. Worn July 12 - 19, 2012.

If you enlarge this picture, it shows the similarities between Gold Fingers and Graphite, which have a jelly base, compared to Delight, which has an opaque, foil base.

The closest color match I have is OPI in Dazzled by Gold (one of my favorite golds). They are made of the same type of shimmer, but OPI''s has a darker gold and a platinum gold/silver shimmer particles, and the density of the particles is greater.

None of these are really similar, but I thought it would be fun to line up my Chanel golds. Gold Fiction is my favorite, although the opaque bottle is a pain.
