Sinful Colors in Haute Koffee + Comparisons

Here's one apropos for the shift into the fall season. Today's polish is one of my favorites from the Kylie Jenner/Sinful Colors collaborations. This is Haute Koffee, a gorgeous vampy berry shimmer with a matte finish and that glow-from-within. I am a huge fan of shimmery matte polishes, and I'm a sucker for vampy colors, so this one is a home run for me. And it's only $2.99! The formula is perfect, it doesn't dry too quickly, so you don't get any ridges, and it's just the right consistency. I used 2 thin coats.

Haute Koffee was released with the Summer 2016 "Trend MATTErs - Pure Satin Mattes" collection. According to SC's website, this collection is still available at select Target and Walgreens stores. In my Target, they've been replaced by the Halloween collection. But they are still available at Walgreens.com.

You can see I'm a big fan of these colors! Maybelline in Matte Ruby [with top coat] is a more red version of Haute Koffee with silver microglitter. It is an old polish with a very clumpy formula - would not recommend. Deborah Lippmann in Bitches Brew is also more red and has a smoother shimmer finish. Chanel in #18 Vamp is a bit deeper but very similar in color with a smoother shimmer finish. Marc Jacobs in #186 Wine Not is a bit lighter and more purple with a slightly pearly finish. Chanel in #637 Malice is the most similar in color; both it and Haute Koffee have a deep blue-purple base with red shimmer, but Malice has a smoother shimmer to give it even more of that glow-from-within effect. BB Couture in Napa Valley Red and Dior in #995 Minuit are deeper with more purple; Napa Valley Red has glitter in a jelly base and Minuit has shimmer in a jelly base. Misa in #293 Uptown Glamour, which is a dupe for OPI in Every Month is Oktoberfest, is also a deep blue-purple base with red shimmer, but it is deeper with less prominent shimmer. You can't go wrong with any of these colors (my least favorite are Matte Ruby and Vamp).
